We value our Catholic faith and its teachings. Our strong Theology department engages students in learning and embracing the richness of what Catholicism has to offer. As a school dedicated to Jesus, the Incarnate Word, we particularly value the celebration of the Eucharist and prayer. We make both priorities within our school life.
We value preparing our students well for college. We have incredible teachers who truly love their profession and their students. As we begin a new school year, I am totally amazed by the exciting new course offerings, the enhancement of technology in the school and the new opportunities for students to get more involved in school life.
We value teaching our students to embrace the strong gospel value of service, that is, to see a need and address it with their God-given talents. Their service ranges from offering compassion and attention to those in nursing homes to helping children with tutoring to helping folks rebuild after a natural disaster. I am proud to say that our students carry with them compassion and joy.
We value preparing our students to be strong leaders, in the true sense, that is – to lead with integrity, compassion and love. This year we begin a more formal development of our new leadership program, IWA Young Leaders Program. Its purpose is to train our students to be leaders in all aspects of their lives. You will hear more about this as time goes on.
